Headteacher's Welcome
Welcome to the website of St Theresa’s Roman Catholic Primary School. St Theresa’s is a good, voluntary aided Catholic Primary School in the parish of St. Francis of Assisi and within the Diocese of Salford.
The fundamental aim of our school is to be a high achieving Catholic community, living out the gospel values in all that we do. Our mission statement ‘Walking in God’s Way, we Believe, Achieve and Succeed’ is central to our existence and underpins every aspect of school life.
The family of St Theresa’s loves, learns and grows together as followers of Jesus. We are a very happy and caring school, where children are encouraged to give their best at all times. We recognise that each child is an individual and we work with you as parents to ensure that the academic potential of each is met, whilst nurturing their faith, promoting confidence and self- esteem and therefore developing the whole child.
We are proud of our strong relationship with our parish priest and the local community. As a school we firmly believe that for children to succeed, excellent home-school relationships must exist and we establish these from when your child first starts their educational journey with us.
Excellent standards are achieved through high expectations, self- belief, support, challenge, encouragement and praise. It is our aim to ensure children’s primary school years to be memorable, whilst equipping them with the desire, understanding, skills and confidence to be life- long learners and responsible citizens of the future.
We welcome visits to the school, which can be arranged by contacting the school office on info@sttheresas.oldham.sch.uk or by telephone on 01617703173.
